First league game of the season for the Ladies 2s was away up against Marlow.
The sun was out and we treated the first half as a warm up, laying the foundations for improvements in the second (we went 1-0 down). Suzi offered her advice to the umpire who responded by giving her a 2 minute rest.
We regrouped at half time and listened to the wise words of our coach and played a stronger second half with better positioning and more attacks on goal with a near miss from Faye, one saved off the line and several short corners. Marlow only had a couple of shots on goal in the second half but managed to score from one of them. Suzi posed a question to the other umpire who rewarded her enquiry with another 2 minute rest.
Lots of positives to take away from today's game and its early days, watch this space! Final score 2-0 to Marlow, player of the match was Faye and Flash and Suzi shared the Wally title.
